The VTCT Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing (Combined Hair Types) is a technical level qualification that provides you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work as an employed and/or self-employed hairdresser able to work on all hair types. This qualification is based on hairdressing National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by the UK's leading hairdressing professional body, The Hair Council, as being fit for purpose for preparing you for a career as a hairdresser/stylist, specialising in all hair types.

Course Content

This qualification is unique in that it covers all the necessary skills to enable to you work across all hair types - Caucasian, African and Asian. This qualification builds on existing knowledge and understanding of hairdressing and develops an enhanced repertoire of technical skills to prepare you for employment. Your skills and techniques will be assessed in a real/realistic working environment. Requirements

In order to study this Level 3 Hairdressing course, you do not need to have previously studied Level 2 Hairdressing.
As long as you have a minimum of grade 3s in your GCSEs, including Maths and English, you can study this course straight away.

Careers

When you complete this qualification you will be are eligible to become a State Registered Hairdresser (SRH) with The Hair Council.
