FREE SCHOOL MEALS

BURSARY FUNDS
If you’re in care, a care leaver, or receiving Income Support or Universal Credit in your own name (or both ESA and DLA or PIP), you could be eligible for a bursary of up to £1,200 to help support you during your studies.
We also offer a Discretionary Bursary Fund to help cover the cost of essentials like:
- Equipment and uniforms
- Lunches and travel
- Course-related trips
- Childcare
- Anything else needed for your course
Priority is given to students who:
- Receive Free School Meals (FSM)
- Come from households claiming tax credits
- Have a household income below £38,000
- Are young carers

OYSTER CARDS
The 16+ Zip Oyster photo card enables full-time students aged 16-18 who live in a London Borough to travel free on buses and trams. The 18+ Student Oyster card is for students who are 19 and over at the start of the academic year and enroled on a full time course. You can save 30% off the price of adult rate travel cards, bus and tram passes.
CARE TO LEARN
The Care to Learn scheme helps young parents with childcare costs while studying at Shooters Hill Sixth Form College.
To be eligible, students must be under 20 years old at the start of their course in September 2024. You can receive up to £195 per week per child if you live in London.
