Human Biology, AAQ
Course Information
This qualification focuses on the fundamentals of human biology with direct relevance to healthcare settings.
Learners will apply their knowledge to real-life contexts, including:
- Researching human biology fundamentals
- Delivering presentations to support patients and healthcare professionals
- Performing laboratory investigations using biomedical techniques
Assessment is through a combination of external exams and coursework.
Those taking Human Biology alongside one or two A-Levels will have full access to the A-Level programme of trips, visits, and UCAS support.
Progression & Career Opportunities
This course provides an excellent foundation for careers such as:
Biomedical Scientist, Radiographer, Nurse, Midwife, Psychologist, Dietitian, Microbiologist.

If taken alongside one or two A-Levels:
GCSE Science 55, GCSE Maths 5, GCSE English Language 5, plus two other GCSEs at grade 5 or above. -
