This program is designed for students passionate about pursuing a career as a chef in the dynamic hospitality industry. Gain hands-on experience in our professional kitchens, where you’ll prepare and serve dishes for the daily operations of the Bamboo and Rose Cafés. With the opportunity to produce up to 300 meals daily in a fast-paced environment, this course provides invaluable real-world experience. 

Course Content

Throughout the programme, you will develop foundational culinary and teamwork skills by completing units such as: 

• Prepare Vegetables: Learn techniques for cleaning, cutting, and cooking a variety of vegetables. 

• Prepare and Finish Simple Salad and Fruit Dishes: Master preparing and presenting fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetable dishes. 

• Cook and Finish Simple Bread and Dough Products: Gain practical skills in making bread and dough-based items, from mixing to baking. 

• Prepare and Cook Pasta: Develop expertise in creating classic pasta dishes from scratch. 

• Maintain Food Safety When Storing, Preparing, and Cooking Food: Understand and apply essential food hygiene practices. 

• Work Effectively as Part of a Hospitality Team: Build teamwork and communication skills crucial to the hospitality environment. 

Entry Requirements

There are no formal qualifications required to enrol in this program, though a keen interest in hospitality and catering is essential. Completion of the week-long taster programme is also desirable.
