Childcare, Level 2
Course Information
COURSE OVERVIEW
Our Level 2 Childcare course is designed for individuals who wish to pursue a career in early years education and childcare. This qualification provides learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to support the care and development of children from birth to 5 years old. It is ideal for those looking to work as early years practitioners, nursery assistants, or in other entry-level roles within the childcare sector.
Throughout the course, learners will gain a solid foundation in key areas of child development, safeguarding, health and safety, and promoting positive learning experiences. The qualification focuses on both the theoretical aspects of childcare and the practical skills needed to create safe, supportive environments for children.
This qualification is not a licence to practise and is designed to help learners progress to higher-level qualifications in childcare and education, which may eventually lead to roles such as practitioner in a day nursery, practitioner in a nursery school, practitioner in a reception class within a primary school, or pre-school worker.
