Overview
This course provides a strong foundation in Level 3 Beauty Therapy Treatments, combining advanced practical experience with industry-relevant knowledge. You will develop the skills, confidence and professional standards needed to work effectively within the beauty industry.
You will learn advanced beauty therapy techniques, including body massage, facial and body electrotherapy, individual lashes, nail enhancements, spray tanning, intimate waxing and aromatherapy massage. Alongside practical training, you will develop your understanding of client care, health and safety, professional conduct, record keeping, IT and data handling, and the effective operation of a beauty therapy business.
The course is designed to prepare you for employment, self-employment or further specialist study within the beauty industry.

- Provide Body Massage - Develop professional massage techniques, consultation skills, treatment planning and an understanding of how treatments can be adapted to meet individual client needs.
- Provide Facial and Body Electrotherapy Treatments - Learn how to use professional electrical equipment safely and effectively while developing knowledge of treatment benefits, contraindications and aftercare.
- Client Care and Communication in Beauty-Related Industries - Develop the communication, consultation and customer service skills required to work successfully with clients.
- Specialist and Optional Units - These may include Apply Individual Permanent Lashes, Nail Enhancements and Advanced Hand and Nail Art Techniques, and IT and Data Handling in the Hair and Beauty Sector.
Throughout the programme, you will also develop knowledge and skills in health and safety, professional practice and working within beauty-related industries.
Entry requirements
To join this course, you will need:
- A Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above, in line with course entry requirements.
- A strong interest in advanced Beauty Therapy and a commitment to developing professional salon skills.
- A willingness to participate in practical treatments, group work, client services and independent study.

Assessment is designed to reflect real industry practice and allows you to demonstrate both your practical skills and professional knowledge.
- Coursework and written assignments, including projects, case studies and professional discussions.
- Practical assessments, where you will be observed carrying out treatments to professional industry standards.
- Presentations, demonstrations and oral questioning.
- A portfolio of evidence, which may include observed work, witness statements, photographs, audio-visual evidence, assignments and assessment records.
Your portfolio will be developed throughout the course and will provide evidence of your knowledge, understanding and practical competence.
