COURSE OVERVIEW
This dynamic and practical course is ideal for students looking to build on their creative foundations and develop a broad range of art and design skills. Through hands-on workshops and personal projects, you’ll explore key techniques and creative processes while preparing for progression into further study or a creative career.
Course Structure
The course is divided into two core units:

Skills Development - In your first term, you’ll focus on building essential art and design skills. This unit takes you back to the fundamentals, helping you understand the formal elements of art and develop a strong technical foundation. Delivered through engaging workshops, you’ll explore:

Art & Design Project - This unit allows you to apply the skills gained in Unit A1 to a personal creative project. You’ll learn how to respond to a design brief and develop your ideas through:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To enrol on our Level 2 Art & Design course, you’ll need:
- 4 GCSEs at Grades 3-9, including a Grade 4 in either English or Maths
- A genuine interest in Art & Design, demonstrated through a portfolio of work
- Previous experience in art is desirable
- Entry is subject to a successful interview
