COURSE OVERVIEW
This T-Level course provides students with a comprehensive foundation in digital tools and media production techniques, preparing them for careers in the creative industries. The curriculum is built around core digital competencies and occupation-specific modules tailored to industry needs.
Students will gain hands-on experience with essential software and resources, including:
- Word Processing Tools
Examples: Microsoft Word, Google Docs - Presentation Software
Examples: Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides - Spreadsheet Applications
Examples: Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets - Project Management Tools
Examples: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project - Internet Access
For research, collaboration, and cloud-based tools - Research Resources
Access to a wide range of materials including online databases, books, and academic journals - Hardware Access
- Use of PCs, laptops, and mobile devices with appropriate specifications for media production tasks.
In addition to the core curriculum, each student will complete at least one occupation-specific module. Available specialisms include:
- Creative Media Technician
- Events and Venues Technician
- Content Creation and Production
These modules are designed to provide practical, real-world experience in specific roles within the media and broadcast industry.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To enrol on our Media, Broadcast & Production T-Level, students must have:
- 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including a Grade 5 in Maths and English.
