Overview

This course is idea for students who have a passion for photography and want to broaden their artistic horizons through the development of their digital and technical skills.

Whether it's to hone your skills for social media selfies, or with the intent on becoming a professional photographer, this course is sure to help you advance within the field.

Course Content

Students on this course have the 'best of both worlds' with teaching taking place from both our Art and Media teams. 
With access to our photography suite and darkroom, students will deepen their practical camera-use abilities, as well as digital photo-editing skills.

In addition to this, students will also explore other aspects in greater detail, including:

  • Camera controls
  • Photographic genres
  • Photo-editing using Photoshop
  • Darkroom manipulation
  • Working to a client brief

Requirements

Entry onto this course is dependent on the following grade requirement: 4 GCSEs grade 4 and above.

Previous experience in Photography is ideal, however not compulsory.

Students attending an interview for Photography should look to bringing a portfolio/collection of their work along, if they have one.
