Safety & Security at SHC

Dear Parents/Students

Following yesterday’s incident outside the college gates, I would like to reassure all parents that the matter was dealt with swiftly and safely with no injuries. The police are now dealing with the matter and the perpetrators of this incident have been arrested.

Post lockdown the college is already in the process of improving safeguarding of the site.  In addition to the newly installed security gates we are currently installing an additional barrier and a new security hut.  We have a history of exemplary safeguarding on the college site which has been recognised by Ofsted in the last 3 inspections.

The College has a zero tolerance policy regarding violent behaviour of any sort.  Any student involved in this type of behaviour will put their future at the college at serious risk.  The safety of our staff and students will always be of the utmost importance.

If you have any concerns, please contact Sue Young on 0208 319 9487.
